Meet The Team

Hello, my name is Mahayla. I serve as the Office Manager, supporting both our team and the clients we care for each day. I have seven years of experience as a veterinary assistant, having entered the field at sixteen. From a young age, I’ve always had a deep passion for helping animals, and that passion continues to guide my work.

Outside the clinic, I share my home with a lively crew of pets: three dogs—Moto, a 13‑year‑old Lab mix; Ayla, a 7‑year‑old Yellow Labrador; and Motley, a 2‑year‑old Black Labrador—as well as two cats, Rosie and Kiwi. As you might guess, Labrador Retrievers hold a special place in my heart.

Hello, my name is Miranda, and I am a compassionate veterinary assistant who has been proudly serving at the clinic for nearly three years. I am dedicated to providing attentive, high‑quality care to our patients and supporting clients with kindness and professionalism.

Outside of work, I am engaged and a proud mother to my one‑year‑old son. I share my home with two beloved dogs—Roxy, a 9‑year‑old Pitbull, and Bailey, a 4‑year‑old Beagle. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and riding four‑wheelers.

Hello, my name is Maddie, and I am a veterinary assistant who has been proudly serving at the clinic for nearly four years. I chose this career because I have always felt a strong desire to help others and make a meaningful difference. I am especially passionate about advocating for those who cannot speak for themselves, and this profession allows me to fulfill that purpose every day.

Outside of work, I am a devoted pet owner to four cats: Rocky, a 3½‑year‑old male domestic shorthair; Logan, a 5‑year‑old male Maine Coon mix; Raven, a 4‑year‑old female domestic shorthair; and Widow, a 1½‑year‑old female domestic shorthair. If it isn’t obvious, I have a deep love for cats.

Hello, my name is Haley. I am a 2021 graduate of St. Mary’s High School, and I have known from a young age that I wanted to work with animals. When I got my first horse, Miss, at sixteen, I discovered my passion for large‑animal care. Since then, I have competed in contest classes and welcomed a second horse, Lumi, further deepening my connection to the field.

In addition to my horses, I share my home with three rescued cats—Ollie, Newt, and Moose—as well as a dog, also named Bo. I am also a proud mother to my four‑year‑old son, Easton, who enjoys spending time with the animals just as much as I do.

Hello, my name is Joselyn and I have worked as a veterinary assistant for 3 years. My passion lies in advocating for pets who cannot speak for themselves. At home I have 3 pets, Snoopy, Oakley, and Fiona. One of the most rewarding parts of my job is helping sick patients progress through treatment, while also providing comfort to their owners. I strive to make a positive impact on the lives of animals and their families. 

Hello, my name is Tacie and I am a certified master dog trainer with 38 years of experience in the dog training world, as well as the receptionist at the clinic. I own and operate my own business in St. Mary's as well. I have worked for Dr. Lisa for over 3 years now and enjoy my job immensely, I hope to continue working with Dr. Kay and the staff of Kay Veterinary Services in the future.
